Bible Verses for Humility

Here are some verses about humility.

This is my favorite.

" Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.   Make allowance for each other's faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others."

What a wonderful translation (The New Living Translation)

Do you realize that every time you resent someone or secretly judge them, you are playing God?  Do you realize that resentment is the emotion of pride and unforgiveness?

You may think of yourself as a humble person, but if you allow yourself the indulgence of resentment, you are puffing up and looking down and condemning another.

Therefore, let go of resentment. Begin with your family, those closest to you. Make allowances for others.  That is the only way that you can be a friend on God.

Matthew 6: 15  "But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions.

Mark 11: 25  And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.”
